1. Who We Are
FreelancerSG is operated by LaunchSteady, providing invoicing, loyalty, and CRM software for solo Singapore freelancers and service providers. For questions about this policy, contact us at support@launchsteady.sg.
2. What We Collect
We collect your business account data (name, email, PayNow mobile number, logo), the customer records you enter (name, mobile number, email, points balance), your invoice history, and usage and technical data (page views, feature usage, device and browser information).
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to provide and operate FreelancerSG, process your subscription and billing, improve our services and features, send you service-related communications (including auto-emailed invoices you choose to send), and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your data for advertising purposes and we do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Sharing Your Data
We share data with infrastructure and service providers as necessary to operate FreelancerSG — including Cloudflare (hosting), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), and Resend (email delivery). These providers are bound by their own privacy and security obligations. We do not share your data with any other third parties except where required by law.
5. Payments
Subscription payment processing is handled by Stripe. FreelancerSG does not store full card details. PayNow payments from your own customers go directly bank-to-bank and are never processed or held by FreelancerSG.
6. Your End Customers' Data
You are the data controller for the personal data of your own end customers — the people you invoice through FreelancerSG. You are responsible for your own customers' consent and for complying with applicable data protection laws in relation to their data. FreelancerSG is the processor/platform only.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete an individual customer record at any time from your CRM. After account closure, your data is retained for 90 days and then permanently deleted.
8. Your Rights
Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you and to correct any inaccuracies. To make a request, contact us at support@launchsteady.sg. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies to operate FreelancerSG (authentication sessions, preferences). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
10. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure infrastructure via Cloudflare, and access controls. No system is completely secure — you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 30 days notice. Continued use of FreelancerSG after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Singapore, including the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
